Mount Royal University

what’s campus like?

With innovation and student experience as the core, MRU provides students with a welcoming community that encourages hands-on experience with research, community service, social innovation and much more. It sits on the traditional, ancestral territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta including the Tsuut’ina and the Îyâxe Nakoda. It is also home to the Otipemisiwak Métis.

who do i talk to?

Well, our Campus Minister there is a great start. Jess (she/her) can help you figure out where to begin, continue, or rethink your faith journey. She is on campus at MRU on Thursday afternoons and evenings. Email Jess to connect at the Multifaith & Spirituality Supports chaplains’ office (I-143A) on Thursday afternoons or to book a zoom call.

what’s going on?

So many different things! We suggest checking in with Jess to find out the specifics, but all of what’s going on will be on our Instagram.

Drum, Dine, Discuss happens every Thursday (starting Sept 26th) at 4:30-7:30pm in the Cultural Inclusion Centre on the 2nd floor of Wyckham. It’s an open drum circle followed by a free homecooked, vegan meal and conversation.
